Paul Hollywood reveals the Bake Off spin-off he'd like to see in the future

The 59-year-old was speaking ahead of the return of the Channel 4 programme on Tuesday (September 2).

Paul, who co-judges with Dame Prue Leith, has shared that there's a spin-off from the main show that he'd like to see happen in the future.

He said: "I think there should be an international Bake Off challenge. There are versions of the show all over the world, from France to America, Italy to Israel, Brazil to the Middle East. There should be an international one to see who is the best.

"I think Britain would challenge most of the others, that's how good they are now.

"I think the standard of the baking has been phenomenal. It was unbelievable. Proper borderline professional from the off."

As reported by The Sun, Paul also shared that he and Prue get on like a house on fire both on and off camera, alongside hosts Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding.

Describing life behind the scenes after filming, Paul explained: "We'd all congregate together, almost as if we were all hanging out our washing.

"So, we'd sit there and chat, and put the world to rights."

The Great British Bake Off is filmed at Welford Park in Berkshire and has been since series five of the show in 2014 (not including the two-year Covid period), according to Country & Town House.

The white marquee, known as the Bake Off Tent, is pitched near the Welford Park House and the round-tower church.

Unfortunately, the marquee is only erected for filming purposes from April until the summer and can't be visited by members of the public.

However, Bake Off fans can spend time at Welford Park.
