After seeing the first season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives -- actually, after seeing the first episode of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, it was clear that Hulu had struck reality TV gold. Not only were the Mormon, formerly Mormon, and Mormon-ish cast members famous on TikTok and involved in -- or tangentially related to -- a swinging scandal, but they somehow all also have drama within their friendship group and within their romantic and familial relationships. More went on in the first couple of episodes (An arrest! A pregnancy reveal! Someone's husband having a porn addiction! Fruity Pebbles being used during sex!?) than happens in an entire season of some reality shows.
With season 1 a hit, the show was renewed for a second season. Season 2 premiered May 15 with all episodes hitting Hulu at the same time. So, now the question is: Will Secret Lives return again? It has to, right?

Great news! The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is coming back for a third season. Or, perhaps a season 2, part 2? Either way, more episodes are on the way.
In October, about a month after the first season premiered, Hulu picked up the series for 20 more episodes, as reported by Deadline.
"There was a philosophical question raised in season 1 which was 'Can #MomTok survive this?' The answer unequivocally is yes! Spring 2025 get your dirty sodas ready!" said Rob Mills, Disney's Executive Vice President of Unscripted and Alternative Entertainment.
Now, season 2 has premiered with 10 episodes, which means that there are still 10 episodes left in the order, presumably for season 3 -- unless they decide to call it season 2, part B or something like that.
To look at another Hulu reality show for reference: The Kardashians was originally ordered as 40 episodes. These were then split up into four seasons with two seasons airing per year. (That show has now gone on to have six seasons.)
This is just an educated guess at this point, but there could be more Secret Lives coming out this year. Get your MomTok-themed charcuterie boards ready! (If you've seen season 2, you know what I mean.)
The first season premiered in September 2024. Now, the second has come out only eight months later and we know that 10 more episodes have already been picked up. If Secret Lives follows a similar release model to the one The Kardashians has usually followed, the third season would premiere this fall. (There was a longer gap between the fifth and sixth seasons of The Kardashians, though, so... don't hold me to this.)
Whether MomTok will survive this, obviously. Really, though, with it being an ensemble reality show about friendships and personal lives, it will continue to be about drama, drama, drama. And with the cast now being reality stars, sometimes that drama is a little fourth-wall breaking, too, like with Miranda trying to rejoin the group this season at what some members thought was a very convenient time. Who will stay in their marriage? Who will break up? How will the MomTok clique split into sub-cliques? What other friends might join the group? We'll be watching the next 10 episodes -- and hopefully more?! -- to find out.
