A $7.2 Million Equestrian Estate in Texas Comes With an 80-Foot Saltwater Swimming Pool

Saddle up, horse lovers! An equestrian spread unlike any other in the Lone Star State just pranced onto the market. While it may not be sitting on more than 300 acres like The Inn at Dos Brisas, which rapper Drake bought last year for $15 million, the custom $7.2 million home in Grapevine comes laced with modern features that make it a masterpiece. David Burgher of the Burgher Ray Ranch Group at Sotheby's International Realty holds the listing.

Dubbed Willow Wood Horse Farm, the three-bedroom residence sits on over 9.7 acres in the heart of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Local architect Lou Simmons of NeatBuilt designed the main residence and its equestrian facilities along with Bob Sullivan of Sullivan Design & Construction. Positioned at the highest point of the property and built with an insulated concrete that's energy efficient and durable, the striking two-story spread spans 4,353 square feet alongside an 80-foot-long saltwater pool.

A cobblestone driveway leads to the entrance, where recessed lighting glows on an expansive koi fish pond ahead of the glass front door. The farm's rolling acreage and an expansive barn can be seen from the foyer and are even more compelling from the great room, where a backlit entertainment center crafted from quarter-sawn walnut wood matches the nearby kitchen island. Flanked by a couple of dining spots, the kitchen is nicely outfitted with an array of sleek Gaggenau appliances like a steam convection oven and a glass cooktop. A butler's pantry adds convenience and flexibility for pretty large meals, while humongous floor-to-ceiling glass panels slide open to link the room to a 3,000-square-foot terrace and the swimming pool.

Stone flooring trails down a hallway that opens into the bedrooms through pocket doors fitted with Italian hardware. The primary suite features a walk-in closet and en suite bath that includes a solid stone bathtub and wash basins by Dutch designer Piet Boon. It also includes platinum Dornbracht plumbing fixtures, similar to those in the two other bedrooms' private baths.

Take the metal-framed spiral staircase up to a second-floor viewing lounge that's wrapped in walls of glass for wraparound vistas. The light-filled space is spectacular for entertaining, and its covered rooftop deck made of Brazilian hardwood brings the party outdoors.

On the lower level, there's a state-of-the-art home theater with a sound system by Ember Audio, plus a 250-bottle wine cooler; listing details state it might double as a "very nice storm shelter." A short distance from the residence, an equestrian complex rounds out the property. Along with a 7-stall stabling block that's complete with turnouts and an insulated shop, there's an expansive indoor riding arena and several fenced pastures.
