The appointments have been made in 12 subjects. Instructions were given to the selected candidates to join their respective places of posting within 15 days." The highest number of appointments has been made in mathematics (9), followed by Hindi (7), chemistry (5), economics (4), history (3), physics (3), geography (2), and one each in Bengali, English, psychology, sociology, and zoology. The appointments are on a temporary basis and valid until the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) conducts permanent recruitment or until the appointees reach 65 years of age.The university had in March 2024 advertised 273 posts across 18 subjects. A total of 214 candidates were selected for 17 subjects, excluding political science, on September 3, 2024. The remaining posts have now been filled from the waitlist. "The process of recruitment of the need-based assistant professors in the political science subject was withheld due to a pending case in the Jharkhand high court," Das added.
