Jamie Foxx has finally broken his silence on the conspiracy theory claiming that rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs had something to do with his medical emergency in 2023. After months of speculation and rumors spreading across social media, the Django Unchained actor has finally set the record straight in a recent discussion.
Jamie Foxx addresses Diddy conspiracy theories
Jamie Foxx has directly addressed the bizarre theories tying Sean "Diddy" Combs to his mysterious medical emergency in April 2023. Speaking during a roundtable discussion hosted by The Hollywood Reporter recently, the actor shared that while sedated in the hospital, he managed to sneak a look at his phone. That's when he discovered that the internet was filled with rumors that Diddy had "tried to kill" him.
Foxx recalled being confused by the situation, saying he couldn't understand that he had a stroke because he was in excellent shape. He saw theories suggesting Diddy was behind it and firmly denied them, saying, "No, Puffy didn't try to kill me." However, the claim that truly made him lose his mind was the idea that he had been cloned.
Talking to his psychiatrist the next morning, he said, "I know what's up, you're trying to clone me and make me white so I'll sell better overseas." After some back and forth, the psychiatrist simply replied, "I think we're going to lower your dosage."
This wasn't the first time Foxx joked about the situation. In his 2024 Netflix special, What Had Happened Was, he brought up the same rumors. He joked that he always left Diddy's parties early because "something [didn't] look right." The actor said, "It's slippery in here." Foxx explained that his medical crisis was caused by a brain bleed, followed by a stroke, leading to his hospitalization in 2023. (via New York Post)
