Electric bicycles have been zooming around for decades and if you think it's starting to get out of hand, you're not alone.
The pedal-assist bikes are great for long rides and can certainly reduce some aches and pains for many. Heck, they'll even make your daily commute a lot easier (and less sweaty).
However, it seems as though young riders are getting reckless when it comes to enjoying local roads and rail trails.
As a mom of two young kids who love the bike path, I've had to pull them from harm's way as groups of young kids zoom past at crazy speeds on electric bikes. Donning dirt bike helmets and riding side by side rather than single-file when sharing the path with others can be concerning.
