The Craven County Sheriff's Office K-9 Bureau arrested one man after a traffic stop and vehicle search turned up illegal drugs, guns and cash.
On May 10, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling along Neuse Boulevard in New Bern.
The driver was identified as 28-year-old Kyle Dennis Malone of Sanford, said Lt. Justin Caudel with the Craven County Sheriff's Office.
Caudel said a subsequent search of the vehicle turned up nearly 18 grams of crack cocaine, a small quantity of fentanyl, two guns, $2,170 in cash and various items associated with the sale and distribution of illegal narcotics.
Following the investigation, Malone was taken into custody and charged.
Malone was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, felony maintaining a vehicle for the use or sale of controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a vehicle without a license, Caudel said.
