This fall marks the 70th anniversary of Renegade Football at Memorial Stadium, a storied landmark that has been central to generations of local pride and collegiate athletics.
The start time for Saturday's 2025 home-opening Bakersfield College football game against Allan Hancock College has changed from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and admission for all fans is free, the college announced Tuesday.
The game, which marks the 70th anniversary of Memorial Stadium, serves as a chance for the college "to celebrate both our community's heroes and our football legacy, featuring BC's annual First Responders Night and a special tribute to Renegade football alumni," a BC news release stated. "BC Athletics invites local first responders and former BC football student-athletes to attend and be recognized during the game for their service, dedication and lasting impact on Memorial Stadium over the past seven decades."
