ROSINVILLE, S.C. (WCSC) - The Dorchester County Fire Rescue team confirms a "shipping container shed" behind a home exploded in the Town of Rosinville Sunday morning.
The Town of Rosinville is located about six miles north of St. George.
Dorchester County Fire Rescue Chief Fire Marshal Rickie Jenkins says they got a call around 9:45 a.m. reporting an explosion.
The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office and Dorchester County Fire Rescue were still on scene at a home on Deep Woods Road as of approximately 1:25 p.m. Caution tape is blocking off the area where the shed once was.
People in the area say they felt the explosion from their homes as well.
Jenkins says bomb squad then came to rule out any other dangers, but as of now, the investigation is still active.
