SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) - The Chatham County District Attorney is in the clear after the Georgia Campaign Finance Commission dismissed ethics complaints filed before the November election.
The complaint, filed by local attorney Wade Herring, accused DA Shalena Cook Jones of not filing her personal finance disclosure statement as well as missing the deadline for filing the Campaign Contribution Disclosure Statement.
According to a staff attorney with the commission, Jones was instructed to submit personal finance statements for the past three years under the 2023 filing caption.
The campaign contribution complaint has also been dismissed by the commission and will be formally presented to the board at the March quarterly board meeting.
