PENFIELD -- The bar and grill that claims Champaign County's oldest liquor license won't need it after Thursday.
Last Call Bar & Grill -- a staple in a town of 151 since 1932 -- announced on Facebook Thursday evening that it would be its last night in business.
"We appreciate all of your support through the years!" the business posted. "We will hold all of the memories and friends close to our hearts as we have met some wonderful people at the last call in Penfield."
The building at 105 Main Street is for sale, the post went on to say.
It's been a year of longstanding Penfield fixtures closing.
In May, the Catholic diocese of Peoria announced that the town's St. Lawrence Church (est. 1898) would close within 12 months, part of a regionwide consolidation.
