LAKES OF THE FOUR SEASONS -- A leaking water heater was found to be at blame for a report early Sunday of smoke inside a home in the 3900 block of Brookside Drive in Winfield Township, local firefighters said.
Firefighters were reportedly called out around 3:20 a.m. Sunday to the home and found no sign of problems from the outside.
It was then determined that a water heater was leaking into the furnace sending smoke into the home, the LOFS department said.
"Both appliances were isolated, no injuries were reported to any homeowners or responders," according to officials.
