North American specialty insurer CRC Group has acquired SLB Insurance Group, bolstering its presence in the south-east of the US.
This move nearly doubles CRC Group's presence in south Florida and strengthens its capabilities in Louisiana.
SLB Insurance Group, founded in 2000, specialises in small-to-midmarket P&C, trucking and personal lines insurance.
With offices in Florida and Louisiana, SLB is known for its consistent production and market relationships with an approach involving technology.
The team at SLB, comprising Darren Marsh, Trevor Keyes and Keith Hinson, will maintain their roles and report to CRC Binding president Brennan Paris.
This marks the first acquisition since CRC's transition to an independent wholesaler earlier this year.
In a joint statement, the SLB leadership team stated: "We are thrilled to join the CRC Group family. The alignment of our cultures ensures a seamless transition, and we are confident this partnership will drive continued success for our teams. Becoming part of a larger organisation allows us to leverage CRC's broad capabilities and technology platform, including robust tools, resources and data-driven analytics."
CRC Group Wholesale division CEO Neil Kessler said: "The addition of SLB reflects our commitment to smart, purposeful growth and is just the start of what promises to be a dynamic year in 2025 - our first calendar year as an independent specialty broker. We have a strong line-up of acquisitions in the pipeline and are executing with urgency."
With more than a century of delivering insurance solutions, CRC Group's portfolio includes P&C, employee benefits, life, annuities and long-term care insurance.
"CRC Group expands to south-east US with SLB acquisition " was originally created and published by Life Insurance International, a GlobalData owned brand.
