Virginia police catch man driving 101 mph in 55 mph zone

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. (7News) -- Police are urging the public to slow down after a Woodbridge man was recently cited for going 101 miles per hour in a 55 miles per hour zone.

According to the Prince William County Police Department (PWCPD), the 22-year-old driver was pulled over on the Prince William Parkway near Coloriver Road when he was cited.

"This speed is #reckless & dangerous for the area," PWCPD posted on X. "PLEASE, for your safety & the safety of others, SLOW DOWN!"
