Intense movie scene featuring 2 superstars being used for unique purpose

An intense verbal altercation from a 2019 movie starring Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver is finding new life for an unusual reason.

The Wall Street Journal reports that audio from a scene from "Marriage Story," in which Johansson and Driver scream at each other, is being used by the United States Department of Agriculture to scare off wolves.

The USDA is blasting the audio on farms across the nation, hoping it will prevent wolves from killing cattle and scaring livestock.

"I need the wolves to respond and know that, hey, humans are bad," the ironically named Paul Wolf, a USDA district supervisor in Oregon, tells the Journal.

According to the Guardian, Wolf says drones with thermal cameras can spot wolves. The drone blasts audio from the movie over a loudspeaker.

But it's not just the movie scene. Other sounds include fireworks, gunshots and AC/DC's "Thunderstruck," The Guardian reports.

"Drone hazing" has had previous success in Oregon, reports say. After 11 cows were killed by wolves in 20 days, the drones were deployed. Only two cows were killed over the next 85 days, reports say.

"Marriage Story," released on Netflix, is a drama that tells the story of a couple with an 8-year-old child deciding to get a divorce after 10 years of marriage. However, the process is anything but amicable.

According to CNN, "Marriage Story" was nominated for six Oscars, including best picture and original screenplay. Laura Dern, who also stars in the film, won an Oscar for best supporting actress.
