Northside organizers plans community party

The North Platte Northside Association invites the entire community to come together for a "Meet Your Neighbor" block party from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11 at the Northside Gathering Grounds near the corner of Rodeo Road and Highway 83.

The free, family-friendly event promises an evening of fun and community connection. Guests can enjoy games, music, snacks, drinks, and prize giveaways, while meeting new friends and neighbors, organizers say.

The block party is more than just a good time -- it's about the future of North Platte, said spokeswoman Mona Anderson of Keep North Platte and Lincoln County Beautiful.

The Northside Association encourages residents to share their ideas for strengthening the Northside and building opportunities for growth. Representatives will be on hand to listen and suggestion cards will be available for input.

"Our vision is to revitalize the Northside and unlock its potential for growth, creating more opportunities for small businesses and families," said Chad Fosdick, Northside Board Member. "We want to see safe, clean recreation spaces, thriving businesses, and a destination that welcomes both residents and visitors."

The North Platte Northside Association, in partnership with Nebraskaland Bank and the Northside Gathering Grounds, is proud to host this community celebration, Anderson said.

All North Platte residents are welcome. Bring the family and help shape the future of the Northside, Anderson said.
