It is that time of year again, and Leadership Sidney is looking for recruitments. The program is for local professionals who are looking to enhance their leadership skills, build strong connections and become more involved in the community and civic life.
Leadership Sidney's class curriculum is based on 10 pillars of leadership defined by the Center for Ethical Leadership including integrity, delegation, communication, self-awareness, gratitude, learning agility, influence, empathy, courage and respect. Classes will be held the second Wednesday of each month starting September 10 through April, 8 am.-4 p.m. Additional, out-of-class requirements are to attend one city council meeting, one county commissioners' meeting, one school board meeting, volunteer for at least one Chamber function, and have active participation in the Community Class Project.
There will be hands-on learning experiences, industry tours and site visits, networking opportunities, and civil engagement and volunteer opportunities.
For 27 years, Leadership Sidney has built strong leaders for Sidney's future, and you can help by nominating a candidate, sharing the application or serving as a speaker during the program.
