Disney has announced that the upcoming second season of the critically acclaimed crime drama "High Potential" will be returning to Disney+ in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand on 17th September 2025. Just one day after the show airs in the United States on ABC and on the same day as new episodes are released on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the US"High Potential" follows a single mom with an exceptional mind, whose unconventional knack for solving crimes leads to an unusual and unstoppable partnership with a by-the-book seasoned detective.
Based on the popular French series "Haut Potentiel Intellectuel (HPI)," "High Potential" stars Kaitlin Olson as Morgan, Daniel Sunjata as Karadec, Javicia Leslie as Daphne, Deniz Akdeniz as Lev "Oz" Ozdil, Amirah J as Ava, Matthew Lamb as Elliot and Judy Reyes as Selena. Season 2 will also see Steve Howey join the cast as a series regular, playing Nick Wagner.
20th Television produces "High Potential." Drew Goddard and Sarah Esberg of Goddard Textiles, showrunner Todd Harthan, along with Marc Halsey and Kaitlin Olson, serve as executive producers.
New episodes will be released each week, however, since the show will follow the US release schedule for Disney+ internationally, we can expect a mid-season break in line with the US holidays.
The first season of "High Potential" is available to stream now on Disney+.
Roger's Take: I really enjoyed the first season of "High Potential" and am looking forward to a new season, but more importantly, I'm thrilled Disney has adopted a global release strategy for one of its main ABC shows and hopefully we see more of this in the future for international audiences, especially now that the number of new releases has been reduced.
