Shocking video on social media shows a boat, donning a massive Mexican flag crashing its masts into the Brooklyn Bridge. The video shows the big boat, slowly heading toward the bridge, while bystanders nearby were recording. The masts then crashed into the bridge and then chaos ensued.
The New York Post is reporting several people were injured in the ship, after the crash.
The X.com account, "NYCFireWire" shows the angle from underneath the bridge. It shows the masts crashing into the bridge and then the boat running aground and people running away from the area.
@Corso52 recorded the accident, calling it a massive "pirate ship" that crashed into the bridge.
The ship is possibly the "Mexican tall ship" that docked at the South Street Seaport on May 13. The ship floated under the Verrazano Narrows Bridge on the 13, but apparently was too tall to float under the Brooklyn Bridge on Saturday evening.
