It is that time of the week again, as a fresh round of public notices have been published for St Albans residents.

We've rounded up five planning applications that could affect the district in the coming weeks and months.

This proposal features the demolition of the existing vacant commercial building at 5 Spencer Street & rear Boundaries of 25-37 Market Place.

The site would then be redeveloped to provide a residential complex comprising 47 apartments as well as cycle parking, refuse storage, and hard and soft landscaping.

This application contains alterations to the shopfront and installation of a new air conditioning condenser unit in the rear passage access at 52-54 High Street.

This proposal requests listed building consent to make changes to Flat 2, Gaulter House at 2b Lower Dagnall Street.

Plans aim to fit replacement sash windows like for like in hardwood double glazing on the ground floor, in addition to a window at the front and two windows to the rear of property.

The applicant believes the current windows are old and broken and need to be replaced.

The details of the services, finishes, insulation, and roof terrace have been submitted for approved plans at The Mansion, 1 St Peter's Street.

Plans also request listed building consent for minor internal changes to the design of previously approved proposals to include the demolition of two existing internal walls to create space to the layout for Flat 1 and Flat 2, among other alterations.
