Tell all the "Tell-Tale Hearts": An Edgar Allan Poe pop-up experience is coming to Central New York.
The Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy will take over The Historic Kallet Theater on the River in Pulaski on Thursday, June 5, and Friday, June 6. Each night will feature two 90-minute events from 6-7:30 p.m. and 8-9:30 p.m.
The "chilling cocktail experience" will be open to a small number of guests who wish to step back in time and immerse themselves in the macabre world of Poe. Four of the author's most famous stories will be retold and reimagined by Poe historians as attendees enjoy four classic drinks inspired by "The Tell-Tale Heart," "The Raven," "The Masque of Red Death" and "The Black Cat."
The Nevermore, for example, is a black and gold cocktail fueled by orange peach blossom vodka, lime juice, and secret spices. The Pale Blue Eye features blueberry vodka, fresh lemon juice, rose syrup and topped with La Croix.
"Led by the speakeasy's lead mixologist and Poe historians, this immersive evening promises to be a chillingly unforgettable experience," an event description says. "Don't miss your chance to bring Poe's tales to life, one sip at a time, and get your tickets for Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy in Pulaski!"
Tickets are on sale via $49.25 (including fees) via Eventbrite. All guests must be 21 or older.
