NFL picks, predictions Week 16: Indianapolis Colts vs. Tennessee Titans

NFL picks, predictions Week 16: Indianapolis Colts vs. Tennessee Titans

In Week 15, the Indianapolis Colts (6-8) will host the Tennessee Titans (3-11).

Indianapolis enters the weekend with slim playoff chances after falling to the Denver Broncos in Week 15 but they have an opportunity to finish with a 9-8 record if they can win their final three games. Tennessee is in contention for the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft but they will be trying to win games with the report that they will be benching Will Levis in favor of Mason Rudolph.

The Colts are three-and-a-half point home favorites against the Titans. The experts believe that Indianapolis will win this contest but most of them have Tennessee covering the spread.

Bill Bender, Sporting News: Colts 21, Titans 18

Bender: "These teams combined for 11 turnovers last week. Will Levis committed four turnovers in Week 15, and Mason Rudolph was not much better. The Colts committed five turnovers in their loss to Denver. Anthony Richardson had two interceptions. This one literally comes down to who protects the football, and it feels like a one-score game either way."

Vinnie Iyer, Sporting News: Colts 24, Colts 17

Iyer: "The Colts have teased with their offense at times, but Anthony Richardson has been all over the place while Jonathan Taylor is making uncharacteristic mistakes. The Titans' defense has folded of late, and Taylor should rebound playing off some deep shots. Tennessee is still struggling to settle on an offensive identity, and Mason Rudolph starting again won't help."

Jeremy Cluff, USA Today Sports: Colts 21, Titans 13

Cluff: "The Colts committed five turnovers in their loss to the Broncos. If they can take care of the ball against the Titans, they should be able to get a much-needed victory."

Matt Johnson, Sportsnaut: Colts 20, Titans 17

Johnson: "Coming out of Week 15, the Tennessee Titans still left the door open to Will Levis being the starting quarterback for next Sunday's game. If that's the case, two of the most mistake-prone quarterbacks in football are going to fuel a game where we could see five-plus giveaways. Ultimately, the Indianapolis Colts are the better team defensively and in the trenches, which should be enough for an ugly win between two bad teams."

Ben Rolfe, Pro Football Network: Colts 20, Titans 17

Rolfe: "The Indianapolis Colts might be the most confounding team in the NFL, and we saw it again on Sunday. Somehow, despite wildly inconsistent play from Anthony Richardson, they continue to remain competitive in games and could easily have won against the Broncos in Denver if not for a moment of madness from Jonathan Taylor. In contrast, the Titans are fading badly and could be making a change at quarterback this week.

Indianapolis is the better of the two teams, and they have something of substance to play for. It already won a close game in Tennessee, and it very much feels like that could be the case again this week. Richardson makes them a tough team to trust, and for that reason, this is another game to pass on, especially in terms of the spread."
