Jane Doe and Tony Buzbee 'Owes Jay Z' and 'Actual Victims of Abuse' a 'Huge Apology' After Sharing Inconsistencies in Their Story

Social media fans are coming to Jay Z's defense, saying Tony Buzbee and his client, Jane Doe, owe the rapper an apology. In case you missed it, on Sunday, December 8th, a lawsuit was filed against Jay. In the legal documents, Tony and his client claimed the "99 Problems" rapper raped her when she was 13. The case will likely sound familiar to readers, and that's because it is. In October, the same suit was filed against Diddy. However, the accuser refiled the claim to include Jay Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter.

In a new report from NBC, Jane Doe acknowledged the inconsistencies in her story. "I have made some mistakes," the woman said. As part of her story, Doe claimed her father picked her up from the after-party in 2000. However, the woman's father said he doesn't recall that. "I feel like I would remember that, and I don't," he said. "I have a lot going on, but I mean, that's something that would definitely stick in my mind."

NBC also quoted Doe saying she spent that night in 2000 speaking with celebrities, including Benji Madden. However, according to Madden's rep, neither he nor his brother attended the VMAs that year because they were on tour. In response, Jane Doe said, "I may have made a mistake in identifying." After news of Doe's recent statements made its way online, heated fans took to social media to share their opinions. So, what did they have to say?

Following the news of Jane Doe's new statements, Jay Z and his lawyer, Alex Spiro, responded.

"This 'attorney' Buzbee filed a false complaint against me in the pursuit of money and fame," Carter wrote. "This incident didn't happen, and yet he filed it in court and doubled down in the press. True Justice is coming. We fight FROM victory, not FOR victory. This was over before it began. This 1-800 lawyer doesn't realize it yet, but soon."

"It is stunning that a lawyer would not only file such a serious complaint without proper vetting but would make things worse by further peddling this false story in the press," Spiro, who's also represented Megan Thee Stallion, said. "We are asking the Court to dismiss this frivolous case today and will take up the matter of additional discipline for Mr. Buzbee and all the lawyers that filed the complaint."

"The internet be so quiet when the facts don't support the narrative they were pushing," someone wrote on X. "Y'all owe Jay Z an apology for real."

Someone else agreed, writing that the case has been turning "out exactly the way I knew it would." They continued, saying, "Tony Buzbee owes Jay Z a huge apology as an actual victim of abuse."

On Instagram, people shared seemed to share similar feelings.

"If you swing at somebody like Jay Z, you better not miss."

Another person chimed in, saying when the courts "discover that she lied, she needs to be prosecuted and face the same time Jay would've gotten if proven guilty. At least 15 years!"
