NORWALK, Conn. (WTNH) -- A person dressed as Santa Claus was rescued Saturday evening in Norwalk after getting stuck while attempting to go down a 13-story building.
Just before 6:30 p.m., fire officials were called to the Norwalk Holiday Extravaganza at 50 Washington St. for reports of the stuck individual.
At the scene, first responders witnessed "Santa Clause" dangling 60 feet above ground on a 13-story building. Officials say the individual was rappelling down the side of the building when a part of their costume became entangled in the rigging.
Rescuers were able to make contact with the individual from a sixth-floor window and attached a safety line. Officials then removed a window, and the individual was safely brought inside the building with no injuries.
